Job Description:

This role performs all payroll and related activities, and ensuring the timely and accurate execution for North Asia & Australasia Region. Based out of Malaysia, and working closely with BUs, Functions, Local Payroll partners and external vendors for the routine payroll activities and payment deliveries for employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The shared or individual responsibilities will include some or all of the following activities:

  • Routine process of end-to-end payroll operations from data collection/ data maintenance in system, payroll calculations and validations to payment requests and payment deliveries in an accurate and timely manner

  • Routine payroll related reports and other daily inquires

  • Coordinate/ work closely with the external vendors to smooth the payroll activities

  • Maintain payroll guidelines and processes by writing and updating desktop procedures

  • Support system enhancement

  • Support knowledge sharing to junior/ new team members

  • Support internal and external payroll related audits

  • Seek continuous improvements of payroll activities service standards to internal customers and promptly advise management of payroll issues and working with parties or payroll team to resolve

Experience/ Competencies:

  • Experience in working in a payroll department, preferably for a large multi-national and/or Shared Service Centers

  • Operational experience on compensation, statutory social security, salary tax calculation, etc. Familiar with labor law/ regulations

  • Knowledge in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and/or Australasia payroll operations

  • Ability to handle different customer requirements

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with external vendors

  • Patient, professional, self-motivated and with strong service sense

  • Good on communication and teamwork

  • Good on problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to manage deadlines while under stress and open minded

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or Human Resources, preferred

Other:

  • Requires language proficiency in English and well verse in the language of supporting market (Korean)
